For the inaugural event of its Women’s Entrepreneurship Cell, the leadership team at JITO Youth Wing Pune was looking for a unique activity to break the ice and foster camaraderie among its newly joined members. They approached us at Mindforge Knowledge Solutions to curate a high-energy, interactive quiz segment—and we delivered just that.
On a beautiful summer evening at the Chafa Cafe in Wanowrie, the first event of WEC saw more than 50 young women entrepreneurs take part in an exciting quiz hosted by our Chief Quizmaster Naman Jain.
The teams: Starting the quiz with a bang
They were split into 7 different teams, created by randomly giving wristbands of different colors to the participants at the time of entry. This ensured that a group of friends did not end up in the same team and instead got the opportunity to interact with new people.
Before starting the quiz, we told each team to come up with a name for themselves and gave a prize to the most creative one. One of the teams named themselves ‘Winners’ and became the butt of jokes after every incorrect answer they gave.
The entire quiz was on the buzzer and this created an electrifying atmosphere right from the start. There were four rounds, with the first two rounds having 8 questions each and the remaining two having six each.
Rounds of the quiz
The first round had questions on Pune and Maharashtra. From iconic locations to lesser-known siblings of celebrities, the round had it all.
The second round was themed on food and proved to be a crowd favorite. Multiple teams gulped down the answers in lightning speed and the quizmaster received a thundering ovation for a ‘Connect question’ that delighted everyone.
The third round was about women in the field of entertainment. The audio/video questions delighted participants and they even ended up singing and acting out answers!
Finally, the last round of the quiz was titled ‘Wonder Women’ and it celebrated some incredible personalities that have left a lasting mark on future generations.
The Victors
In a rollercoaster ride that saw all teams competing with enthusiasm, Team 1 and Team 5 emerged as the joint winners with 60 points each. Their journeys could not have been more contrasting in nature – Team 1 was leading by a huge margin after the first round but lost some steam in the middle. Team 5, on the other hand, produced a comeback for the ages after a dim performance in the initial rounds.
With cheers, high-fives and claps all around, the quiz finished on a high note. This wasn’t just any ice-breaker, it was a celebration of curiosity that set the tone for many more chapters in Women’s Entrepreneurship Cell’s journey.
